Cal Crutchlow: Podium is Possible This Year

Cal Crutchlow Losail 2012

Finished on 4th position on the opening race at Qatar was made Cal Crutchlow more confident this year. This British rider told MotoGP official website that coming into this year with 1000cc is a little bit better. But humble Cal says that became 4th on the first race, doesn't mean easy. Everything is possible on each race.

Speaking about the race at Qatar, Cal said that he was made a bad start and too long to pass Andrea (Dovizioso), his teammate. If he pass Dovi earlier, battle for podium is a big chance. Cal also talk about the M1. Definitely not same between the M1 Tech 3 and the factory bike. Looking back to the test result at Sepang and Jerez, both Tech 3 riders were closed to Ben Spies and Jorge Lorenzo. But once again, with the high cost on MotoGP, factory team can develop bike with an endless budget. If this happen and the factory do not support Tech 3 team, the gap between them will be bigger.

Cal also think that podium is possible on this season. Where and when, he can't answer yet. But the realistic target for him is finish in front of the privateer bike.

"Yes, I'd like to think so. Where and when I don’t know but I've always said that my aim or goal is to be at the front of the guys on privateer bikes and if I can beat some factory guys now and again I'll be very happy. You can't do much more than that. Is it possible to beat some of the factory guys now and again? Yes I think it is but you have to just do the best on what you've got and that's what I'm looking at doing"
