Last Year on Le Mans circuit, Valentino Rossi took his 1st and only podium on 2012 season with Ducati. Heading to France again next week, Valentino Rossi deal with the same problem, with a little bit improvement, as he said, after Estoril GP.
Last year, Valentino Rossi finished on 3rd place behind Casey Stoner and Andrea Dovizioso (still on Repsol Honda). This year challenges is bigger than last year. The three musketeers, Casey Stoner, Jorge Lorenzo, and Dani Pedrosa were shared podium together.
Cal Crutchlow on Jerez race was the closest rider from the 3rd, 0.4 seconds behind Dani Pedrosa (3rd place). On Losail and Estoril, the closest gap from 4th rider to the 3rd were more than 10 seconds. After the Estoril GP, Rossi told that his Ducati is better and show a good progress of improvement. But his gap from Dani Pedrosa (3rd place) was still 13 seconds.
Too soon to tell what Ducati will get on Le Mans, but the circuit characteristic need high attention of rider's skill. Valentino Rossi is one of the skillful rider. In last two years, Valentino Rossi didn't miss the podium on Le Mans.
