Johann Zarco finished in 4 th place Grand Prix of Portugal held today, after only three races on the racing world MotoBI Team JiR.
At the start of the 26 laps Johann fought in the first corner melee to defend his fourth on the grid, yielding only a middle position, and can retrieve lap short. The first few laps engaged the French in a great battle with Marquez, Luthi and Pol Espargaro, giving him the pleasure of the second provisional position in the eighth round. From here on, the more experienced competitors claimed his weight and dropped three Zarco leaving him alone in fourth place, that the young Frenchman has wisely administered until the checkered flag. A very positive result that delivery Zarco also the 6 th position in the championship.
The battle for victory was consumed with hectic last lap, with Marquez, who has had the best on a given Espargaro, closely followed by Thomas Luthi.

I think it was for us a very good race. Johann has got to learn a lot from its competitors on how you drive half of the Moto2 class and also has known more of his MotoBI. It was plausible that his lap times would get up to half of the race as he was for the first time he had to fight with the leaders. E 'was also a very useful experience for him to learn how to adapt to the progressive deterioration of tires, given the young age of Johann was important to finish the race and gain experience on how to manage MotoBI even with worn tires. We are excited about how he is going at this moment our Moto2 project, we are continuing in the right direction and we are eager to take part in the next race, although you probably will not have expectations for a positive outcome, are still in the early days to Zarco Moto2.

It 'was a great race! I started from the fourth row on the grid and at the first corner I tried to defend the position by closing the door to other pilots, but some have still managed to pass me. I tried to be sewn to the first and after a few laps I found myself fighting for the second and third position, I managed to pass Espargaro and Marquez before the first corner and I saw that Luthi was commanding the race with a small margin, but as with the passing of the laps I felt the rear tire deterioration thereby lose traction to my MotoBI. Although this could take a step in the order of 1 'and 41', so I was happy. I finally found the fourth, I felt the rear slide a lot, but I realized that Iannone was coming up fast on my position so I took a good rhythm and tried to keep it away from me. This is more than I expected here in Estoril, so I'm happy. I can go to Le Mans without having to worry about pressure or expectations for the outcome, I will continue my training and try to always be stronger even when I'm in the top group of Moto2.
