During yesterday's party on the terrace of the central stands in Mugello, Team Italia FMI presented the book "Team Italia 1985 - 2012: the story goes on" (click here to browse an online version) and celebrated the champions who raced in and won race for the Federation's team in the past. Among them, world champions Fausto Gresini and Luca Cadalora recounted the past battles and unexpectedly wore the leathers with which they raced in the 80s.
The ceremony also unveiled the fairing with which Romano Fenati and Alessandro Tonucci will race tomorrow. The design celebrates the partnership, sealed last May, between FMI and the Mugello circuit.
The event featured live music from 'The Rain Band', the British ensemble that composed Rise Again, a song dedicated to Marco Simoncelli (available for download on iTunes and similar sites) whose profits will entirely go to the Marco Simoncelli Foundation.
