Second day of practice in Brno before tomorrow's race, with two sessions that saw JiR Team's riders make further improvements on their MotoBIs but still leaving the feeling that they have further room for improvement.
Johann Zarco worked today to test different solutions both in terms of tyres and for general set-up, managing to find the consistency on the pace that he was looking for and scoring a 2m03.142s lap that gives him 10th place in the grid. Eric Granado on his side worked less in the pits while focusing on track for improved feeling with his MotoBI. The morning brought some improvements both in pace and a single flying lap, while the afternoon was a little less satisfying, although it was very useful for the rider to get more laps of the Brno circuit and aim for better consistency aboard the MotoBI. The qualifying session saw the leadership of Pol Espargarò followed by Thomas Luthi and Scott Redding.

"This Saturday was not so bad; I have the 10th-best time, just one second and a tenth and from Espargaro who made a stunning pole time. We have had some issues with my engine yesterday but also in Indianapolis, so my Team decided to have it changed and I must be thankful for this. I couldn't find so much difference but I believe this could give us some room to try new maps for the management of the power when I open the throttle getting out of corners. I'm pretty satisfied for the set up, I can be consistent with times; both if I'm following someone or if I am by myself. Tomorrow we would like to try a more aggressive map with the power and I think that a result in the top six is achievable."
Eric Granado
"This morning we made some good progress and I could lower my time, this gave me the hope for a further improvement in qualifying even if this didn't happen. My objective was to find a good pace and we hit the target, but I have some regrets for the single lap as I was expecting to closer to the leaders. We still have some things we can work on so I hope I will find a better performance in warm-up; then in the race I will have to fight to keep in contact with the pack while trying to be consistent until the end of the race."
