Yet again the Yuki Takahashi was out of luck during the race after having the best weekend so far this season. He unfortunately suffered a crash that didn’t allow him to reach his goal of taking his first points.
Thirteenth place for Alex De Angelis, a good race result that could have only been better had the starting grid position been closer to the front rows. The three points from today’s race have allowed the rider from San Marino to be ahead of Simone Corsi, also FTR rider.
Alex de Angelis – 13th place
“The race went a lot better than the practices, the feeling with the bike was much better but starting the race from the back of the grid its complicated. The track conditions were not the best and all the crashes made it harder. In the end we leave this GP with a few more points. We now have to try to understand why when there is little grip we struggle so much.”
Yuki Takahashi – Not Classified
“For the start it was not so bad but I hit somebody and I lost some positions and after it was very good and I was close to the front I wanted to try to pass somebody because I was 15th, 14th, 15th and I believed I could get to 11th position but in a fast corner Simone Corsi took me out and I couldn’t do anything to avoid it. Overall I leave with a positive feeling after all we have accomplished in terms of the feeling with the bike. I want to keep working in this direction.”
