Fenati and Tonucci are ready to confirm a positive series of results in front of their home crowd

Romano Fenati Brno 2012

Fenati is fourth in the championship and will finally be able to race on a track he knows (he won twice in the Italian championship last year), and is ready to fight at the top like he did in Mugello where is was pipped on the finish line by only 20 thousandths of a second by Viñales. Tonucci will also try to make the most of his home track. Indianapolis was a turning point for him, and after finishing 10th in Brno he will try to climb even further in Italy.

Alfredo Mastropasqua
"The gossip circulated in the past days regarding Fenati's conditions need to be clarified for everyone concerned: Romano is fine and will regularly race in Misano. He was involved in a trivial misunderstanding with the local police and, to clarify his position, he personally met with their Chief Pier Paolo Piccioni (shown in the picture), who had a chance to listen to the motivations and apologies from the rider."

Romano Fenati
"I'm surprised that what happened triggered so much attention. My quotes on the papers didn't reflect what I said. I never mentioned being 'hit' by a car, or giving responsibility to the officers, or sustaining a tendon fracture. I apologize if the misunderstanding caused trouble to the police, with which I always had a good relationship."

Roberto Locatelli
"Romano did well in the tracks he already knew this season (first in Jerez, second in Mugello), so we're hopeful and humble at the same time as there are many fast riders. Alessandro is going through a good period of form, and he can do even better on his home track. We always give our best, but the home crowd will surely motivate us even more, and Team Italia will try to be in the spotlight."
