Team Italia FMI secured first and third row starts at Misano

Romano Fenati (Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#5) posted the second-best time and will start on front row between Cortese (poleman with a 1'44"201) and Antonelli. After finding the right setup, Fenati lapped in 1'44"571, seizing his best qualifying result of the season so far. He also sported a completely red helmet to reminisce the fastest lap and the endurance national team that will race in Germany at the end of the month. 

Alessandro Tonucci (Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#19) also had a strong session, taking advantage of his teammate's slipstream he lapped in  1'44"909 and will open the third row tomorrow. In 7th place, he also enjoyed his best qualifying result since he has joined Team Italia in 2011.

"Finally on first row! I want to thank the mechanics and the red helmet, which brought me luck. This one of the few tracks I already know and where I can fight on the same level as the others. I want to race at the front."

"I got my form back after Brno. We were already fast in the wet, and we got better today. The bike works well, and so does the whole team."
