Thomas Luthi Succesful Surgery, No Return Date

Thomas Luthi Valencia Moto2 Test

After a crash at the Valencia circuit last weekend during the Moto2 test, Thomas Luthi moved to the Valencia’s "9th of October" hospital and suspected multiple and complicated fractures in his right upper arm, elbow and shoulder.

Luthi finally picked up by a jet and went to Zurich to get surgery with the team from Dr. Marc Metzler. After a five-hours surgery, Thomas Luthi declared succeess and can expect a full recovery.

Anyway, there are still no update about the recovery time needed. Thomas Luthi will miss the Jerez test tomorrow and maybe first race at Qatar also.

Daniel M. Epp - Team owner
"This accident was very, very unlucky. But the initial report of the doctors after surgery took a big weight of our shoulders since Tom will, in all likelihood, recover completely from his injuries. At the moment, this is all that counts!"
