After three days of testing RW Racing GP leaves Valencia pleased with the results. Ana Carrasco ran 80 laps on the last day and improved to 1.41,214. Scott Deroue could only run a few laps before he crashed. He didn’t improve his best lap time set on day 2 but still was satisfied.
RW Racing GP team manager Jarno Janssen left the Ricardo Tormo track in a good mood. “It was a good test. We’ve learned a lot, we shifted a lot of work and everybody is happy. I saw smiling faces around me in the garage, so that’s good. I’m glad we went to Almeria first to make sure everything was set up to make it possible to use the full three days here in Valencia. For sure we still have much to do before the first race, but we still got time.”
Next week already testing continues with three days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in Jerez.
Scott Deroue:
“The day was too short for me unfortunately. Already after a few laps I crashed. I entered a corner too early and was kicked off by the bike. I’ve tried to continue, but my back hurt and I wasn’t confident. It’s a pity because I was hoping to improve my lap time. Thank you to the mechanics who managed to get my bike back in mint-condition. All in all I’m satisfied with the past three days. I’m looking forward to Jerez: a track I know well from the Rookies Cup.”
Ana Carrasco:
“I’m happy. The bike feels good. I had some issues with braking when entering the corners, but with some new settings we managed to get that under control. There’s only one corner I’m still struggling with. I’m satisfied with where we are now and hope to improve again in Jerez next week.”
