Ana Carrasco Line Up for 2013 Moto3 Female Rider

Ana Carrasco, Maverick Vinales JHK T-Shirt Laglisse Moto3 Team 2013

Young female rider Ana Carrasco will make her debut on the 2013 Moto3 championship and become the first female rider on the Moto3 history. Ana Carrasco already had a chance to try out her KTM machine at the Almeria circuit. Carrasco will be Vinales's teammate on the next season with JHK t-shirt Laglisse team.

Ana Carrasco
"I am very happy about this opportunity Jaime and my sponsors are giving me.  To debut in the World Championship is the dream of every rider. I was not expecting it and I am very enthusiastic about it. I can’t wait to get into pre-season testing and do my first race. In Almeria I didn’t ride an official KTM, but the feeling I had with the standard bike was good and I'm pretty happy. The chassis is very different from what I've ridden this year and I rode over a second faster."

Front Row for Vazquez at Phillip Island

Efren Vazquez Phillip Island 2012

Efren Vazquez (JHK T-shirt Laglisse) secured his third Moto3 front row start of the season for FTR at Phillip Island today, the Spaniard lapping third fastest in qualifying practice for the Australian Grand Prix.

Efren Vazquez:
“I am happy with the session this afternoon. I had a crash this morning but luckily I wasn't hurt and we knew that our pace was good. On fresh tyres this afternoon we pushed hard in the first laps to bank a fast time and it worked. I think it will be a group race tomorrow but Cortese has the pace to make a break so we'll have to make sure we get a good start and take it from there.”

Efren Vazquez plays a starring role in a thrilling Moto3 race in Aragon

Efren Vazquez Aragon 2012

Efren Vazquez (JHK T-Shirt Laglisse – FTR Honda) played a starring role in a thrilling Moto3 race that had ten riders in with a chance of winning until the last lap. The Spaniard led on several occasions, including briefly on the final lap, but crossed the finish line in fifth place, just 1.1s behind winner Luis Salom (Kalex KTM).

Vazquez gave everything during the 20 laps, but his FTR Honda didn’t have the straight-line speed he needed. He led a tightly packed quartet of FTR Hondas with Alex Rins (Estrella Galicia 0.0 – Suter Honda), Louis Rossi (Racing Team Germany – FTR Honda) and Miguel Oliveira (Estrella Galicia 0.0 – Suter Honda) right behind him at the finish. Niccolo Antonelli (San Carlo Gresini – FTR Honda) was the tenth finisher, a mere 2.5s behind the race winner.

Efren Vazquez, JHK T-Shirt Laglisse: 5th
“I’m happy. Because we really needed a race like that, especially at a home Grand Prix. It’s great that the team keeps getting better and moving ahead. The changes we made for the race were great and I felt very comfortable on the bike. I had of the fastest Hondas, even though at Misano my bike wasn’t so quick. I want to congratulate the team and our sponsors because I think with this perseverance we will be on the podium soon. We have a team leader who is committed to having the best and that is the most important thing.”
