MotoGP´s 11th round of the season at Indianapolis for the NGM-Mobile Forward-Racing Team. The Texas Tornado’s crew is working full time to provide him with the best possible setup of the bike for him to fight to be within the top CRTs with his Suter – BMW.
The wet patches on the track did not allow the American rider to do a very fast lap during the morning practice, finishing the session with a best time of 1´46.520. In the afternoon he improved his time by 2,707 seconds, making him 18th overall at the end of today.

“Second home race, excited, got a lot of friends and family here. We started on what we had in Laguna in terms of bike setting. The one big difference was that Suter did some testing on the electronics and wheelie control and they found some good information. So we started off with it and the wheelie control felt good, we played with a couple other things but the chassis felt hard and stiff. During the afternoon practice the track conditions were better and helped us make quite a big change, getting more weight on the front, softened up the front spring a little bit. Its probably the better turning than it had ever had. We also played with some damping’s a little bit to get to absorb the bumps. We still have a couple of things we have to work on but overall, I can say we have made some stops forward.”

“We have worked a lot today on the setting of the bike and have found some things that Colin seems to like. Even if the gap between the top CRT and us seems big we have to consider have that we have only used the hard tire while the others have used the soft tires. We know that with the hard compound we will be ready for the race. We have other interesting ideas in mind to try during tomorrow’s morning practice to improve our times. Tomorrow we will also try the soft tire and try to do well.”
