Mapfre Aspar Team Moto2 riders Jordi Torres and Nico Terol are content after day two of their three day Almeria test after having both significantly improved their times over the days.
Both riders undertook numerous changes to their set-up of the bike, with Terol focussing on the new Suter chassis to improve stability, and Torres trying various new chassis parts. Torres set the fastest time of the two with a 1.37’20 after putting in 56 laps, while Terol ended the day with a 1.37’40 after 73.

"Today we had a lot of work. We neglected the path taken yesterday, to try new things and see new horizons. Today we assembled a different chassis and we had it ready. We've also tried a different swingarm. And we have also tested a full brake kit. All these changes have been carried out to find out what I need to go fast. Final conclusions have been positive, we have adapted over the bike to my riding style and so the times were quicker. The important thing is that in this test we are going from strength to strength. Tomorrow we will try hard to see how far we can go."

"I finally tried the new Suter chassis and I am very happy, the truth is that I felt very comfortable. Now the bike gives me a better feeling. I can get on the gas sooner, tilt over the bike at the apex of the curve, and now the front wheel gives me more security. Due to the positive feelings I have managed to improve from yesterday. Also today I understand the track much better. Yesterday, the first day caught me by surprise. I'm very pleased with the findings. Today was a marathon day in which we tested different configurations for the front fork to make it work harder and let me turn easily. I've also worked on my position on the bike, and made a distinct change. It has been a long but satisfying day."
