Alvaro Bautista Losail 2012

Alvaro Bautista told to MotoGP.com about his opening season and preparation. With the new team now Honda Gresini, Bautista feel more confident. He also told that top five of this season will be a good result. Speaking about Marco Simoncelli, Bautista do not feel as a substitution.

Alvaro Bautista:
"I'm on new team now, with new bike. I have a lot of confident this season. Maybe I'm not at the same level with Pedrosa or Stoner or Lorenzo, but we are not so far from them, so we will try to fight to be the closest position from them.

Gresini is a good team. I feel like family here now. We worked very hard, and the communication between me and the team is very good.

I don't feel like I am a substitute for Marco, because this is the different situation. My mechanic team also from Aoyama, not from him (Simoncelli), but I will try to do good result for his memory.

I have prepared this season phisically and mentaly, especially on winter testing. And I'm confident to start this season MotoGP. The championship is too long now, but if I can finish the championship on top five, it would be a good season for us.
