The Moto3™ class ran its warm up session for the Commercialbank Grand Prix of Qatar on Saturday evening, ahead of Sunday's race.
Maverick Viñales (Blusens Avintia) went fastest in the 20-minute warm up session for the Moto3 class on Saturday evening, lapping quicker than Sandro Cortese's pole position time with an effort of 2'07.704.
The Spaniard led a top three that included rookie Romano Fenati (Team Italia FMI) and Luis Salom (RW Racing GP), both of whom will start Sunday's race from the second row.
Pole man Cortese (Red Bull KTM Ajo) was fourth fastest, with fellow front-row starter Louis Rossi (Racing Team Germany) fifth and Miguel Oliveira (Estrella Galicia 0'0) sixth.
The top 10 in the session was completed by Alexis Masbou (Caretta Technology), Niklas Ajo (TT Motion Events Racing), Danny Kent (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and Alberto Moncayo (Bankia Aspar Team). Ajo walked away from a crash unharmed.
The Moto3 race gets underway at 7pm local time on Sunday.
