Good start from Alvaro Bautista on the 1st day at Le Mans circuit. This Gresini MotoGP rider was on 4th fastest at the end of the free practice.
Bautista said, "Today was a good day. This morning we did some tests to try to improve the setting of the problems we had at Estoril. We found interesting solutions after suspension changes."
He continue, "In the afternoon we continued on this path because it was the solution we were looking for and what I needed. I was definitely better than at Estoril and Jerez and I finally have a good feeling. Of course there are still small details to be fixed but for now I'm happy because we made a decisive step forward. Tomorrow we'll see the weather but we are confident in each case."
