Eastern Europe awaits Johann Zarco and Eric Granado for the GP of Brno

Johann Zarco Indianapolis 2012

Just a couple of days off to recover from the jet lag following Indianapolis and it is already time to move again towards Brno, in the Czech Republic. Team and riders will be ready this Sunday for the local GP that is forecast to be very exciting due to the demanding circuit that will host the race. It's technical characteristics make it very similar to the Mugello track, but once again the weather could become the balance: at the moment all Eastern Europe is engaged with the last wave of heat of the summer, while forecasts say that some rain could arrive over the Czech hills just in time for Sunday's race.

Both of Team JiR's riders are well recovered following the long trip back from Indy, where they found a race that was harder than they hoped. This latest race will be another chance to prove their value and to make some more steps forward in their respective experience plans. Although last race was below his expectations, Johann Zarco is quite confident that the hints he had in Mugello about his MotoBI's potential will give him a good help to be in the front of the grid and hopefully aim to a podium. In the meanwhile his team mate Eric Granado will learn yet another brand new track for him and gain some more experience, trying to get all the best from his competitors and his Team's experience.

Johann Zarco
"I have had some good times at Brno and I do think my riding style is quite good there. We hope to do something good in the Czech Republic and touch the target we are aiming for, which is the podium. For sure last race shows it's a big target, but in Moto2 it's possible as it's so close and if you and the bike feel good you can do it, I know this. I think at Mugello our MotoBI was a consistent bike so that's what we want. We tried something else in Indianapolis, but then we went back to the Mugello setting and I think we will go from there from Friday."

Eric Granado
"I am very anxious to learn the track of Brno, it seems to be very fast and technical circuit and it will be a new track for me too, but another way to learn and to gain experience! After Indianapolis we discovered new information that we will exploit at the Brno circuit, I hope to take another big step forward at this track and evolve more and more with the more experienced riders and with my team that is doing a great job with me and my MotoBI! Now, I am preparing myself mentally and physically and treat my left shoulder that bothered me a lot in the Indy racing, for not having any kind of physical problem at this next race!"
