Team Italia FMI wants to keep up positive results in Czech Republic

Romano Fenati Indianapolis 2012

MotoGP world championship does not stop. Fenati and Tonucci, who just got back from the US, head to the historic circuit of Brno. Both riders scored points in Indianapolis, and want to keep it up during the second half of the season.

Romano Fenati (Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#5) will try to defend his fourth place in the general standings as well as the leadership among Rookies. The  Brno track could help his talent shine after a positive show in Indianapolis, where Fenati finished fifth, just barely missing the podium and once again proving his ability to adapt to unknown circuits.

Alessandro Tonucci (Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#19) had a strong qualifying session in the US but faced a comeback race after a poor start. He knows Brno well and wants to take advantage of his experience to add more points to his tally.

Massimo Vergini, Team Italia FMI Manager:
"We had a really positive week-end in Indianapolis, and we are hungry for more in Brno. In the US Fenati could have seized the podium but was held back by traffic early on. His lap times (he fastest during the race) show he could have fought for the victory, and he'll need to prove his consistency in Brno. Finally, Indy was also a good week-end throughout for Tonucci. It was important for him to score points, and he can improve further and get closer to the front in Brno."
