Team Italia FMI dedicates Friday to setups

Roman Fenati Sachsenring 2012

After some difficulties in the morning session, the Italian riders take better advantage of FP2. Romano Fenati is 15th at his debut in Sachsenring with a 1'29"588, 0.927 behind Viñales, who scored the best time thus far with a 1'28"661. The rider packed its work in FP2, as in the morning his bike had some electrical problems.

Alessandro Tonucci still has some issues with the setup of his bike. After trying different solutions, he posted the 23rd time in the sheets with a 1'30"080, 1"419 behind. Both riders will try to improve their setups tomorrow to qualify in the tops rows.

Romano Fenati (Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#5) 28 laps with a 1'29"588
"The issue we had this morning prevented me from doing the necessary amount of laps. In the afternoon I felt more comfortable. I still have to learn the secret of this track, which I like: it's short and challenging. I'm optimistic about qualifiers."

Alessandro Tonucci (Team Italia FMI FTR Honda#19) 44 laps, with a 1'30"080
"During FP1 I didn't feel comfortable on the bike. Small changes improved the situation in the afternoon. Too bad it started to rain toward the end, as I couldn't make further improvements."
