Bryan Staring Rides Solo on Final Day at Jerez

Bryan Staring Jerez MotoGP Test 2013

Alvaro Bautista chose not to take part in the final day of preseason at testing today, preferring not to take any risks on the damp track after crashing and fracturing two fingers yesterday. His team-mate Bryan Staring was able to complete some dry la ps late in the day, completing his first race simulation around the Jerez circuit. The Australian was not completely happy with the way the day went, however, and is now looking ahead to his MotoGP race debut in Qatar in just over a week's time.

Bryan Staring   (1’43.525 – 41 laps)
“I'm not particularly happy with today. This morning we couldn't ride because of the rain and after several hours waiting around we did a race simulation that to be honest was pretty disappointing. There were still some damp patches out there that made me a little nervous and with just over a week until my debut in MotoGP I didn't want to make any mistakes at this stage. Now my mind is on Qatar and an exciting new adventure for me.”
